Bodrum may be the largest town on the Bodrum Peninsula in south west Turkey, but when it comes to nightlife, Gumbet is definitely the top destination! This is no longer the sleepy fishing village it once was, it’s one of Turkey’s prime party spots, especially attracting the young singles crowd, but also offering something for all tastes and ages.

It’s easy to find Bar Street because, yes you’ve guessed it, it’s lined with bars and is the noisiest place in the village after the sun goes down! There are many bars competing for your business so the music gets louder as the evening progresses and the bars fill up. With so much competition for your business the bars in Gumbet serve very reasonably priced drinks, so if you enjoy a drink or two a night out in Gumbet won’t break the bank!

 

Gumbet doesn’t have clubs as such, but it has bars with discos and these are just as much fun and more affordable as you don’t have to worry about cover charges! There are many popular bars to choose from while you’re on holiday in Gumbet, and you’re sure to find a few of your own favourites from names like X Bar, Central Bar, and Bar 20, all very popular with young, and often single, guys and girls!

 

Gumbet’s nightlife is not just for the young and single though. This is a popular holiday destination for families after all, and the bars on Bar Street aren’t really appropriate if you’re on holiday in Gumbet with children. You’ll find there’s a selection of other places around the village where you can listen to traditional Turkish music or enjoy entertainment, and of course the larger hotels often have their own entertainment shows and cabarets for their guests.

 

Bodrum Nightlife

The nightlife in Bodrum complements Gumbet very well so if you want to try something different why not hop in a dolmus and make the short journey to neighbouring Bodrum for a night out?! Bodrum is after all the home of the most famous club in this part of Aegean Turkey, Halikarnas. This famous open air nightclub is always stuffed to the eyeballs, and popular with holidaymakers staying in Bodrum and Gumbet.
