Cafe Anne.........not the one on the beach!

Postby Karemolinos » 23 Oct 2005 10:19

Not a restaurant exactly, but what a wonderful cafe, serving you snacks and WONDERFUL :D cakes and pastries. For £2 I had a massive home made scone , with butter, jam and whipped cream with a cup of tea. Next day I had a Huge!! apple pie with ice cream, hubby had strawberry cheesecake, we could just about finish it, lovely. Even if you just have a tea or coffe, its presented to you with a nice doiley(sp??) and a small round pastry thing?....really relaxing with relaxing music playing, wish I was there now. Give it a try if you haven't already.

Apparently, even though the one on the beach looks the same its run by different people.

Karemolinos...totally agree with you about Cafe Anne. I had the best lemon cheesecake ever in there. The chap who owns it is really nice and the background music is really relaxing.

Its on the main road down to the beach. (the road with the pig and whistle, the galleria etc..) at the top end , by the dried up canal, The diving school and jeep safari place is just opposite. Its on the corner.

Redrhino12 can usually describe it clearer

( Gene.... where are you????)

We have been going in to it for a couple of years- Its very relaxing- no blaring music, no hassle... its sad that the bloke who serves there says he won't be there next year- he is off to Germany I think.
