Got back from Icmeler yesterday, firt time to Turkey and certainly not the last hope to go back in August. What an amazing place Icmeler is and so are the Turkish people the friendliest we have ever met. I have uploaded a few pics don't know if i have done it right.

Thanks for the pics Peter15. Used one of the canal as a screensaver.
Which bars did you get in?
Was it warm enough to sunbathe?
August is really Hot but is my favourite time.
We are all dying to hear some snippets of Icmeler if you could find the time to write a little review it would be like manna from heaven.

Thankyou redrhino for your reply,
We arrived in Icmeler 15th April in the evening so the first night we stayed in the hotel, after breakfast next morning we went for a walk,I could not believe what I was seeing it was so beautiful I was gobsmacked.
The place is very clean and the people very friendly. Before we went I had read some horrifying stories about being hassled by the shopkeepers but it was not a problem I ended up chatting to them and even got one of their life history they were really very nice.We went to The Friends Steak House every night it's behind the Abacus Metropole hotel, some amazing dancers in there,The Bonjour was very good for a meal and so was the Loveboat. We walked up to the old village a few times and every local we met said hello to us and some stopped to chat.We have been to lots of countries over the years and i think Icmeler is the place we have been looking for we hope to go back in August as it was a bit quiet in April but we still had a brilliant time. The last night we were there all the Turkish friends we had made came to see us off, there were hugs galore and i had tears in my eyes,my wife said to me are you crying I said no it's the Efes leaking from my eyes.

Thanks peter for giving us that lovely report of your holidays.
Even at the height of the season, the waiters, shop keepers etc will still
have time for you, nothing is to much trouble.
I along with many others have fell under the "Icmeler spell" making repeat visits compulsive.
I may see you in August then?
