Water sports eg Diving and parasending

Postby Toscar35 » 27 Apr 2006 12:02

my partner and I are off to Icmeler for our first visit in 3 weeks, could anyone tell me about any diving activities in Icmeler itself?? we are staying at the Miray hotel and have heard many good things about it off here, this is an excellent site for info about Icmeler and the surrounding area, we are looking forward to our first visit.... :)

welcome toscar,

the beach in icmeler is a hive of activity from pedelos to paragliding, ive been on the pedelos, (but you have to watch the currents they will take you for miles and will have to by towed in) which were cheap, ringos are cheap as well and are great fun.......but not sure about the parasending. there are organised diving trips which you can find more about price on home page under activities on left of page.
one tip is dont buy excursions/trips from sellers on beach front im led to believe they dont carry any insurance

im sure you will enjoy your holiday, it's a fantastic place

Thanks folks, would love to try the parasending but only from the back of a boat, seen way to many you've been framed clips of people being draged through the sand and sea face down to want to try that, I would make a very deep and wide trench if that was to happen, :) but what is a ringo? a drummer on the beach? a corn snack?

hi toscar

not sure if your question regarding 'ringos' is an genuine are not but i shall answer it anyway, i ringo is a very large inflatable ring which resembles a inner tube from a large car. this is then attached to the back of a speed boat and pulled along at speed with you sat on/in it.

the parasending in icmeler is from the back of a boat, i have never seen them pull anyone from the beach

Went parasending last year, it cost £40 for the three of us. We were up for about 20 mins each, very enjoyable but it's something i think you'd only do once.
Will attempt to post a photo after this post.
